Vantrix solution helps MTS bring rich Video, Music and TV Content to Mobile Customers

Moscow, Russia and Montreal, Canada, USA — February 16, 2010 — Vantrix, the global leader of mobile video optimization and delivery solutions, today announced that MTS (Mobile TeleSystems OJSC), the largest mobile phone operator in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with over 102 million subscribers, has selected Vantrix for its content portal, Omlet.ru. Omlet.ru is an online and mobile content platform from MTS that offers a large selection of licensed videos, music, games and TV.

Vantrix Media Broadcaster, the leading end-to-end solution for delivering optimized multimedia to mobile devices and web portals, was selected by MTS to address the growing demand for video content.  The market for content delivery over mobile or fixed networks in Russia is rapidly growing as more consumers get online and the awareness of device capabilities increases. Vantrix proven and patented technology to address the largest and most costly mobile network challenge

Montreal, Canada and Barcelona, Spain — February 15, 2010 —Vantrix, the global leader of mobile video optimization and delivery solutions, today announced the commercial availability of Vantrix Bandwidth Optimizer, the premier media optimization and bandwidth management solution for mobile video.

Over the last several months, reports from industry analysts and telecom equipment vendors have highlighted an impending threat on mobile networks. Mobile data traffic is to grow exponentially over the next years and video is the main source of this surge. While most operators will see a moderate increase in their revenues from data (less than 50%), they will need to manage 50 to 100 times more video traffic on their network.

Vantrix Bandwidth Optimizer lets network operators capitalize on the growing “mobile data tsunami” by providing up to 50% savings of CAPEX and OPEX for data delivery.
